We are a small breeder, not a kennel. Our priority is to responsibly breed healthy, happy golden retriever puppies that will make lovely family pets.

Kathy studied Biology in college and taught middle school and high school science both full and part time for 20 years. She raised two litters of goldens while her three children were young. Now, after semi-retiring early from teaching, she has had time to raise puppies again! The first new litter came during the summer of 2020, and we have recently welcomed the fifth. Kathy has also served as "midwife" and mentor for several litters of Bernese Mtn. Dogs that a good friend has raised in recent years. Her love of animals and biology makes raising puppies an absolute joy! When not raising a litter, Kathy and Ed enjoy the companionship and fun that dogs bring into their lives.

We prioritize the important science behind breeding healthy dogs. Harriet, Charlotte, Belle, Shadow and Jax passed all their health clearances before being bred. All come from parental lines whose testing for the most significant problems in the breed goes back many generations. All of our Goldens have OFA clearances on Hips, Elbows, Eyes, and Heart. They are also DNA clear for DM, ICT, Pra1, Pra2, and PRCD. Our Goldens are our beloved family pets; we go to great lengths to ensure that they are comfortable and cared for throughout the entire breeding process. Furthermore, each of our puppies comes with a health guarantee.

Our dams, Charlotte, Harriet and Belle, come from excellent Laurell champion bloodlines. You can view their pedigrees on k9data.com - if you click on dog names in the pedigrees, you can see titles and often photos. For instance, Charlotte's dam's sire was 2006 American No. 1 Golden. Not all titles are listed on the k9data, but looking through the pedigrees will give you a fair bit of info. You can also see health clearances on k9data, though not all are listed.

I personally talk with all prospective puppy families/homes to determine that the pup will have a great home environment and that all prospective owners have a clear expectation of what they're getting into. I do this prior to taking any deposits. I work hard to bring healthy pups into the world and want to be certain they'll have great homes!

Both male and female pups from our current litter (arrived 08/26/25) will be $2,500 with a limited AKC registration.

A deposit of $500 (part of, not additional to the price) will hold a pup and is refundable if there isn't a pup for you in this litter. All pups will come with a health guarantee.
